SoftBank Robotics Accelerates Global Expansion of “STEAMA” Steam Cooking Robot

SoftBank Robotics Group Corp. (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Fumihide Tomizawa, “SoftBank Robotics Group”) and Yo-Kai Express Inc. (HQ: California, U.S., Founder and CEO: Andy Lin, “Yo-Kai Express”) today announced that SoftBank Robotics Group has invested in Yo-Kai Express with the aim of acquiring an exclusive global commercial license for certain intellectual property developed by Yo-Kai Express. Through this initiative, SoftBank Robotics Group will accelerate the overseas expansion of its cooking robot, “STEAMA”.

SoftBank Robotics Corp., a subsidiary of SoftBank Robotics Group Corp., unveiled STEAMA to the U.S. market for the first time at the National Restaurant Association Show 2026, held in Chicago in May 2026. The exhibit showcased the potential of next-generation solutions for the U.S. market by leveraging SoftBank Robotics Corp’s expertise in FOOD DX, developed through its business activities in Japan.

STEAMA is a cooking robot independently developed and manufactured by SoftBank Robotics Corp under a license agreement with Yo-Kai Express. SoftBank Robotics Group will accelerate the global deployment of STEAMA by identifying business partners, evaluating deployment opportunities, and establishing sales channels in overseas markets, including North America.
