SoftBank Robotics Expands AI & Robotics Solutions for Foodservice in EMEA

Showcasing Advanced Cooking Solutions and AI-Powered Service Robotics at EquipHotel 2026 in Paris

Paris, 30 September 2026 – SoftBank Robotics UK Ltd. today announced that it will showcase its AI & Robotics solutions for foodservice at EquipHotel 2026, taking place in Paris, France, from 2 to 5 November 2026, as part of its efforts to expand foodservice automation initiatives across the EMEA region.

Hospitality and foodservice operators continue to face operational challenges, including labour shortages, difficulties in recruiting skilled staff, rising costs, consistency in food quality, and food waste. SoftBank Robotics aims to help address these challenges through robotics and automation, supporting more efficient, consistent and flexible foodservice operations.

At EquipHotel 2026, SoftBank Robotics will present four solutions spanning cooking automation and service robotics: STEAMA, FLAMA, BOTINKIT Omni and Servi Q. Through live demonstrations and discussions with hospitality and foodservice operators, SoftBank Robotics will explore how these solutions can support a wider range of foodservice environments across EMEA.

Visitors will be able to experience how robotics and automation can help address operational challenges such as limited kitchen space, staffing constraints, consistency in food quality and the need to serve a wider variety of meals across different service hours.

STEAMA
STEAMA is an automated steam-cooking robot that uses high-temperature, high-pressure steam to heat noodles and ingredients evenly, recreating just-cooked texture and aroma through simple, one-touch operation.
It enables operators to serve freshly prepared meals in approximately 90 seconds, helping deliver consistent quality even in locations with limited kitchen space or a shortage of skilled staff. It features recipes from 800+ brands, including ramen from restaurants featured in the MICHELIN Guide and some of Japan’s most renowned ramen establishments. Beyond noodles, STEAMA’s steam-cooking technology has the potential to support a broad range of cuisines and dishes, including risotto and dim sum.

FLAMA
FLAMA is an automated cooking solution designed to support efficient and consistent kitchen operations. It automates multiple cooking processes, from adding ingredients and seasonings to stir-frying, mixing, plating and post-cooking cleaning.
By automating multiple steps of the cooking process, FLAMA helps operators maintain consistent food quality while reducing the operational burden on kitchen staff. FLAMA brings the craftsmanship of authentic flame cooking into every kitchen, transforming ingredients into dishes that are not only consistent, but truly delicious.

BOTINKIT Omni
BOTINKIT Omni is an automated cooking solution built for high-volume foodservice operations, including institutional kitchens and workplace canteens. It can prepare up to 30 servings at a time, using 3D cooking technology, automated seasoning, and precise temperature control to help kitchen teams serve consistent, high-quality meals more efficiently.

Servi Q
Servi Q, jointly developed by SoftBank Robotics and Bear Robotics, is a next-generation serving robot designed for use in compact venues. Servi Q uses an AI-powered navigation system to navigate complex and space-constrained environments. With a body width of just 35 cm, Servi Q can navigate aisles as narrow as 45 cm — the narrowest in its class — and features an industry-first* reversing capability.
